Peter Douglas Cairns

Beloved husband of Denise for 33 years. Cherished father to Amy Smith (Grant), Spencer Cairns (Kate), and Austin Cairns (Jorna). Devoted Papa Pete to Dalton Smith (Addy), Dallas Smith and Tatum Cairns. Words cannot express the love he had for his children; they were the loves of his life and their biggest supporter.

Brother of Christopher Cairns, Lesley Cairns, and David Cairns. Brother-in-law of Mark James (Pat) of Wales, Diane Rumple, John Leroux (Gabrielle), Jeanette Wardrop (Terry), Nora Leroux (Jim predeceased), Doug Leroux, Annie Stuart (Bob), Carol Bryant (Andrew), and Robert Leroux (Kim). He will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews, friends and relatives here and in England.

Recently retired from Tuite Construction, where he was loved like family. Pete was “one-of-a-kind”, “jack of all trades” and helped everyone wherever he was. He loved hockey, boating, motorcycles, and was looking forward to retirement with Denise at Lagoon City on Lake Simcoe and travelling their bucket list.

We will miss you beyond words Pete. We will cherish our memories of you.

Per Pete’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Celebration of life will take place at a later date.
