

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sara Kathleen McCoy. After a long and courageous battle, Sara past away surrounded by the love and warmth of her family at her bedside on November 22, 2013 at the Juravinski Hospital. Beloved daughter of the late Rudolph and Edna (Kay) Kuras and sister to the late Ralph Kuras, Sara will be sadly missed by her husband Paul, children Tiffany, Meagan and Drew, and sisters Beverly and Gail as well as extended family and friends. A modest, courageous woman with a savvy sense for business, Sara operated multiple family-owned businesses. Admired for her gracious spirit, Sara always went the extra mile to help others, spending much of her time volunteering. Sara kept her mind and body active, pursuing activities such as curling, suduko and crosswords. She had a passion for animals as well as for travel. Visitations will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home, Swackhamer Chapel, 195 King Street West, Dundas (905-627-7452) on Thursday, November 28, 2013 between 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. The funeral will take place on Friday, November 29, 2013 in the Marlatt Chapel at 1:00pm; interment following thereafter at Mount Zion Cemetery in Copetown. A reception celebrating Sara's life will be held at the Marlatt Funeral Home after the interment. The family extends their gratitude to all those who have helped support and care for Sara during the last year and final days.
