Peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Sunday, September 7, 2014 after a long and valiant struggle with C.O.P.D. Loving husband and soul-mate of Mary Lou for the past forty two years. Predeceased by his brother Almer Holmes (Madeline) in April 2014. Loving Uncle of Mike and Nancy Holmes and their sons; Anita Jarvis; Janel Waddams and her daughters. Survived by relatives and friends in the Dundas and Brantford Area.
Leslie served in the Korean War. His working years were spent in the industrial area, the last several years as a stationary engineer. He also enjoyed toiling the land and working with farm machinery. Leslie was a member of St. Paul’s United Church in Dundas and always enjoyed his ushering duties.
In keeping with Leslie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 12th at 2pm at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Copetown.
Special thanks to Dr. Freitag, his respirologist for his care and guidance. The doctors and medical staff at the Hamilton General Hospital for the excellent care and compassion shown. His roommate Fredric for his kindness and concern.
Leslie will be sorely missed.
