Alfred “Fred” R. Falcone, 66, of Broad Brook, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 7, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born in Hartford on January 24, 1955, a son of the late Alfred R. and Serafina (Lucca) Falcone, he had been a resident of East Hartford and Hebron for most of his life prior to moving recently to Broad Brook. Fred was a graduate of East Hartford High School, Class of 1973 where he excelled as a member of the football team and outdoor and indoor track teams. He attended Manchester Community College where he pursued a career in business. His working career started at Connecticut Bank and Trust, continued at Travelers Insurance Company, and ended with People’s Securities where he was involved with Information Technology. Fred liked hiking with his beloved Mary along with watching horse racing with her. He loved music and playing his guitar and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Las Vegas Raiders. Most of all, Fred enjoyed being a father and spending quality time with his two adored children.
Fred leaves behind his loving children: daughter Zoe Falcone and son Lucca Falcone; and will be sadly missed by his devoted life partner, Mary Ingalls of Broad Brook with whom he made his home. He also leaves his sister, Ann Falcone Shalaski and her husband Ronald of Newport News, VA; his brother, Paul Falcone and his wife Pamela Hyde Falcone of East Hartford; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss this loving quiet, gentle man.
Funeral service will be Saturday (June 12, 2021) at 10 am from the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Church of St. Edmund Campion Parish, 370 May Road, East Hartford. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, (Section N), Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. Fred’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday morning from 9 – 10 am at the funeral home chapel.
