

Arlene (Mancuso) Fenton, 69, of East Hartford, loving wife for 46 years to Edward J. Fenton, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, (November 15, 2011) with caring family by her side at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on May 2, 1942, a daughter of Frances (Fragale) Mancuso and the late Guy Mancuso, she had been a life-long resident of the Greater Hartford area. Arlene was a graduate of William H. Hall High School, West Hartford-Class of 1960, and later earned her B.S. degree from the University of Connecticut. Prior to her retirement, Arlene was a Book Keeper for many years who especially enjoyed her time with the Connecticut Valley Girl Scouts Council in Hartford. A talented singer, Arlene was a member of the Mountain Laurel Chapter of the Sweet Adeline's, and the ""Mood Indigo"" quartet. She was an avid New York Yankees fan who loved also fishing, softball, bowling, cross-stitching, and the slot machines at the casinos. Along with her father she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Valerie Fenton of East Hartford. Besides her beloved husband, Edward at home, and her mother, Frances of West Hartford, Arlene is survived by two sons, Ed Fenton of Manchester, Brion M. Fenton and his wife, Christy, of East Hartford; two sisters, Angeline ""Angie"" Rizzo and her husband, Mike, of Windsor, Lori M. Driscoll and her husband, Bernie, of West Hartford; six special grandchildren, Jennifer Eason and her partner, Jeff Mounce, Matthew Eason, Nicholas Fenton, Brandon Young, Rebecca Fenton, and Christopher DiLeo; one adored great-grandson, Logan Mounce, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Arlene's life will be Friday (November 18th) from 4:30-6 p.m. at the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Arlene's name may be made to the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center, 80 Seymour Street, P.O. Box 5037, Hartford, CT 06102.
