

Barbara-Ann (Beaudoin) Neznayko, 80, of East Hartford, beloved wife of 60 years to Roger D. Neznayko, unexpectedly passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 with her loving family by her side at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford. Born in Hartford on July 18, 1945, a daughter of the late Gerard and Anne (Bowen) Beaudoin, she resided in East Hartford for the past 55 years. Barbara was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, class of 1963. Prior to her retirement, she had a remarkable career with the State of Connecticut. It began with the Department of Health, followed by time with the Welfare Department, before becoming an Administrative Assistant for the Hartford County Sherriff's department, and finally finishing her career of as an Administrative Assistant for the State of Connecticut Judicial Marshall’s office. She retired after 34 years of service to the state to spend more time with her growing family.
Barbara was a former longtime communicant of St. Isaac Jogues Church in East Hartford. She liked to cook and bake for her family and friends to enjoy while hosting annual parties, picnics, and other family celebrations. She was a fan of the New York Yankees and UConn basketball teams. Most of all, Barbara was a proud devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who received great joy supporting and cheering on her family members at various school events and activities.
Along with her beloved husband, Barbara is survived by a son, Roger D. Neznayko, Jr. and his wife Amy of Tolland; a daughter, Karen Sullivan and her husband Edwin of Manchester; four cherished grandchildren, Andrew White and his wife Amanda of Westbrook, Maine, Heather Sullivan of Manchester, Matthew Neznayko of Delray Beach, Florida, Victoria Sullivan of Edison, NJ; four adored great-grandchildren, Laila, Aliya, Ariana, and Kehlani. She also leaves a sister, Beverly Concannon and her husband Patrick of East Hartford; two sisters-in-law, Lucy Beaudoin of Newington and Cynthia Neznayko of Wolcott; a longtime special friend and neighbor, Carol Maffe of East Hartford; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her three brothers, William Beaudoin of Florida, Gerard Beaudoin, Jr. of Wethersfield, Robert Beaudoin of Newington; and brother in-law Bill Neznayko of Rocky Hill.
Funeral service will be Tuesday (August 19th) at 12 noon at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Buckland Cemetery, (Section F), Manchester. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday morning from 10:30 am – 12 noon.
