

Carl Albert, 78, of East Hartford, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving wife Maureen on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Born on October 22, 1946 in Saint Agatha, Maine, Carl was the son of the late Gerard and Annette (LeBlanc) Albert. Carl graduated from Madawaska High School, Maine in 1964 and then attended Gray Business College in Portland, Maine graduating with an Associate’s Degree. A proud veteran, Carl was honorably discharged after serving with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Carl then settled down with his wife Maureen (LeBlanc) Albert of 48 years in East Hartford where they raised their children. Prior to retirement, he was an accountant for Travelers Insurance. In his free time, Carl loved to read and was a history buff. He was an avid fan of UCONN Women’s Basketball and also enjoyed listening to music and going for drives. Most of all, Carl was a devoted husband, father, and brother.
Along with his wife, Carl leaves behind his two devoted children; Gregory Albert and his wife Ashley of Rochester, NY and Caroline Hunter and her husband Mark of Fort Worth, TX. And a grandson soon to be born. He also leaves behind his siblings; Ron Albert of Hartford, his twin Carlene Bourque of Quebec, Georgette Beaulieu and her husband Ron of Maine, Lynn Cyr and her husband Herman of Maine, and Carmen and her husband Roger Theriault of Maine. A sister-in-law Yveline Albert of Marlborough. Along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Carl is predeceased by his brother Roger Albert, brother-in-law Leo Bourque and a nephew Craig Albert.
The Albert family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 1st from 4 – 6 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St. East Hartford. Burial with military honors will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carl’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd S #4b, Southington, CT 06489.
