
Carol 'Curly' Frazier, 76, of East Hartford, loving husband of 48 years to Phyllis (Rattell) Frazier, peacefully entered into eternal life with his caring family by his side on Saturday, (March 22, 2008) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born in Hartford on August 26, 1931, a son of the late Edward C. and Mary (Kohler) Frazier, he had resided in Manchester for several years prior to moving to East Hartford 16 years ago. He was a U.S. Marines Corp veteran serving during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 35 years as a heavy equipment operator by Local 478 Operating Engineers (IBOE) in Hamden. 'Curly' was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #723 of Hartford. 'Curly' enjoyed watching and following NASCAR racing and camping. However, he will be remembered by most for his wonderful sense of humor and dedication to his dogs. Besides his parents, a son, Carol Frazier, Jr. of Hartford predeceased him. Along with his wife, 'Curly' is survived by four sons, Mark M. Frazier of Somers, Carol Frazier, III of Ellington, Scott A. Frazier of East Hartford, Christopher L. Frazier of East Hartford; a daughter, Helen M. DuPerry of East Hartford; a brother, Allen Frazier of Chaplin; two dear close friends, Michael Civitillo of Durham, Anthony DeFelice and his wife Mary, of East Hartford; 11 special grandchildren; two adored great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 27, with a celebration of Carol's life at 11 a.m. at the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will be at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
