
Conrad J. St. Jean, 74, of East Hartford, loving husband of Priscilla (Ouellette) St. Jean, passed away peacefully on Sunday (May 6, 2007) at Manchester Memorial Hospital with his caring family by his side. He was born in Lille, ME on February 17, 1933, a son of the late Randolph and Olive (Daigle) St. Jean, and had resided in East Hartford for the past 42 years. Conrad was a self-taught welder by trade and was one of the first certified gas line welders in Connecticut. He received many accolades from apprentices he taught and the companies he worked for. His last place of employment was First Brands in East Hartford where he retired from in 1993. He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford and a former communicant of St. Mary's Church, East Hartford. Conrad was also a dedicated and faithful follower of the UCONN Women's basketball team. Besides his parents, two brothers, Roland and Norman St. Jean, predeceased him. Besides his devoted wife, Priscilla, of 53 years, Conrad is survived by his three daughters, Nanette Landry and her husband, Stephen, of South Windsor and their two sons, Matthew Landry and his fiancée, Nicole, of New York City, Bryan Landry and his fiancée, Allison, of New York City, Gail Breton and her husband, Gary, of South Windsor and their children, Carlee Breton and Jeremy Breton both of South Windsor, and Karen St. Jean-Gillespie of East Hartford; four sisters, Anita Morin in Maine, Edwina Rossignol and her husband, Rene, of East Hartford, Olida Masse of Unionville, Merilda Jambard and her husband, Leo, in Florida; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Silvio and Annette St. Jean of East Hartford, Clarence and Mona St. Jean of Danielson, Alde and Lula St. Jean in Florida, Joseph and Jeannine St. Jean of East Hartford, Rudy and Jeannette St. Jean in Florida; his dear close friends, Fred and Sandy Shaw of East Hartford; many nieces, nephews, and other friends. Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 10, at 9:15a.m. from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Cambridge Drive, East Hartford. Burial will be at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
