Constance Roussel

Constance “Connie” (Misseri) Roussel, 84, of East Hartford, beloved wife for 63 years of the late Neil W. Roussel, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Born in Canicattini Bagni, province of Siracusa, Sicily on March 10, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lucia (Aiello) Misseri. Connie came to the U.S. in 1951, was raised in Hartford and retired from Travelers Insurance Company after many years of service. She enjoyed taking walks and going to the gym, going out to lunch with friends, playing cards, shopping and reading.

A loving mother and grandmother, Connie will be forever missed by her daughter, Loretta Chmielewski of East Hartford and her adored granddaughter, Danielle King and husband Fran of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by four brothers, Salvatore Misseri of Arizona, Michael Misseri and wife Karen of Windsor, Frank Misseri and Lia Stein of East Hartford and Joseph Misseri and wife Paula of Berlin; nephews, Matthew Misseri and wife Siobhan, Jonathan Misseri and Joseph Misseri, as well as many extended family members and her dear friend, Dianne Matthews. A special thanks to the ICU and hospice staff at Hartford Hospital for the wonderful care that was provided.
