Delores A. 'dodi' (brown) Brookman

Delores A. 'Dodi' (Brown) Brookman, 76, of Glastonbury and Pompano Beach, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday (March 2, 2008), in Pompano Beach, FL. Dodi was the loving wife of fifty-five years to George F. Brookman. Born in Hartford on January 4, 1932, a daughter of the late Raymond and Althea (Partridge) Brown, she had been a resident of East Hartford for many years prior to moving to Glastonbury. Dodi was a graduate of Weaver High School in Hartford, Class of 1950. Prior to her retirement, Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford employed Dodi for 35 years as a Statistical Analyst. Dodi enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, and reading. She also loved her winters in Pompano Beach, FL where she had many wonderful friends. Dodi was also a loyal and dedicated fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. However, Dodi's greatest joy was being a wife, mother, and grandmother and spending quality time with all of her family. Besides her parents Dodi was predeceased by her son in 1997, Richard Brookman of East Hartford, and a brother, Raymond Brown. Along with her beloved husband, George, Dodi is survived by her three devoted daughters, Linda Comeau and her husband, Joseph of Windham, Kathleen Paganetti and her husband, John of Colchester, Patricia Malinguaggio and her husband, Dean of East Hartford; a daughter-in-law, Joanna Minuk of Cromwell; two sisters, Ruth Abbate and her husband, Dan of Wethersfield, Marlene Accola and her husband, Richard of Ocala, FL; a brother, Richard Brown; nine adored grandchildren; one special great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral service will be Saturday March 8 at 10 a.m. from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury.
