Diane (Winiarski) Manning, 82, of East Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at her home. Born in Hartford on March 4, 1940, a daughter of the late Edmund and Victoria Winiarski, she had been a resident of East Hartford for over 50 years. Diane was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, class of 1958. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in East Hartford and was an avid loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox. She was an animal lover and activist who also liked knitting and crocheting, often making afghans for her family and friends to enjoy.
Diane is survived by four sons, Daniel Manning of Vandalia, Ohio, Joseph Manning of Wethersfield, Michael Manning of Tolland, Robert Manning and his wife, Maura, of Loudonville, New York; a sister, Ruthann Koza and her husband, Ray, of Kingwood, Texas; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Diane’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
