Raised in East Hartford, she graduated from East Hartford High School, class of 1952. As a child, her passion was music and dancing. She became the pianist for the Marjorie Goodale School of Dance, and later on her own she taught private vocal and piano lessons. She and Douglas resided and raised their family of three boys and two girls in Glastonbury. After all the kids were all in school, she became a teller at Glastonbury Bank & Trust, retiring after 22 years of service. She then turned her love of sewing into a home business of clothing alterations. She loved camping; in the summer, she and her husband camped at Nelson’s Campground in East Hampton, and in the winter on the weekends at Mineral Springs Campground in Stafford Springs. Besides her husband, she leaves her finest accomplishments in life; her five children. Mark and his wife Brenda Zajicek of Poulney, Vermont; Matthew Zajicek of Ormond Beach, Florida; Ethan Zajicek of East Hartford; Edythe “Edee” Martynowicz and her husband Jeff of Glastonbury; and Karrie-Lynne Bronzi of Glastonbury. She was also blessed with six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She also leaves two daughters-in-law, Gretchen Bollard and Robin Markam, and her sister-in-law, Nancy Zajicek Cook. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, David Post and Wallace (Wally) Post; a very dear aunt, Nellie Neelan; and her son-in-law, Brian Bronzi. Later in her years, she found such comfort and peace at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in South Windsor.
