

Eric Paul Height, 32, of South Glastonbury, passed away unexpectedly from an unknown heart condition on Friday, February 3, 2017 at his home. Born in Hartford on April 2, 1984, a loving son of Kenneth P. and Debra J. (Ladue) Height, he had resided in South Glastonbury for most of his life. Eric was a graduate of Glastonbury High School, Class of 2002 and attended Northeastern University and Central Connecticut State University. He was very interested in Anthropology and was a former member of the Anthropology Club at CCSU. He was a very talented and avid golfer who was a former member at the Glastonbury Hills Country Club. He was also a loyal and energetic fan of the Hartford Whalers. However, Eric will be remembered by those who knew him as his mother’s “kindred spirit” who had a caring heart, smiling face, and one who loved being with and around his family and friends.
Along with his father and mother of South Glastonbury with whom he made his home, Eric is survived by his devoted aunts and uncles, Donna Wilson of Manchester, Dennis and Diane Chase of New Britain, David and Laurie Ladue of Bradenton, FL, Joan Height of Manchester, Alan and Nancy Height of Higganum, and Roger and Susan Height of Bloomfield; and many dear cousins and special friends. Eric was predeceased by his older brother over four years ago, Paul D. Height of South Glastonbury; and his beloved grandparents, Leo and Natalie Ladue of East Hartford, and Dan and Irene Height of East Hartford.
Funeral service will be Wednesday (February 8, 2017) with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am at St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Road, South Glastonbury. (Eric’s family has requested that everyone please go directly to the church on Wednesday morning). Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, South Glastonbury. Eric’s parents and family will receive relatives and friends at the D’ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford on Tuesday (February 7, 2017) from 4-7 pm.
