Frances Ann ""Nancy McGill

Frances Ann ""Nancy"" McGill, 71, of East Hartford, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at a local rehabilitation center after a long illness. Born in Hartford on July 20, 1943, a daughter of the late Francis M. and Julia (O'Sullivan) McGill, she had been a life-long resident of the East Hartford/Hartford area. Nancy was a graduate of Bulkeley High School in Hartford, Class of 1961. Prior to her retirement Nancy was employed as an LPN for 30 years by St. Francis Hospital, Hartford and later by the State of Connecticut-Department of Mental Retardation for 10 years. A devout catholic, Nancy was a former communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford. Most of all, Nancy will be remembered as a caring sister and best friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Nancy is survived by a devoted brother, Gerald J. McGill of East Hartford; her dear best friend, Betty D. Peloso of South Windsor; several Markowski and Sullivan cousins; and many former co-workers and friends. Funeral service will be Saturday (February 14th) at 10 am from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, Cambridge Drive, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, (Section Y), Bloomfield. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Saturday morning from 9-10 am.
