Germaine Daigle

Germaine Daigle, 92, of East Hartford and formerly of Hartford, passed away on Easter Sunday morning, April 5, 2015. Born in Van Buren, ME on February 25, 1923 she was the daughter of the late William and Emma (Roy) Jambard. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Heublein in Hartford. Germaine was predeceased by her husband Leonel Daigle. She was also predeceased by her loving and caring son Nelson E. Daigle, Sr. (January 8, 2015), and a brother, Gilbert Jambard, and a grandson, John Gilbert. She is survived by her daughter Beatrice Gilbert of Lewiston, ME; her daughter-in-law Sheila (Dubiel) Daigle of Glastonbury and formerly of East Hartford; five brothers Normand Jambard, Leo Jambard and his wife Merilda, Eldridge Jambard, Gilman Jambard and his wife Anne, Nelson Jambard and his wife Dolores; two sisters Annette St. Jean and her husband Sylvio, Jean St. Pierre and her husband Fred; and her sister in-law Theresa Jambard. Memere also leaves her grandchildren Nelson Daigle, Jr. and his fiancée, Crissy Greer of Bristol, Christopher Daigle and his wife Erin of Avon, Diane Moreau and her husband Dave of Lewiston, ME, Denis Gilbert of Maine, Marc Gilbert and his wife Gust Yes of California; great grandchildren, Grant, Maxwell & Zachary Daigle of Avon, Jennifer, Joshua, Maryke and Martin Moreau, Alex, Jessica & Kathryn Gilbert of Maine, Justin and Bryon Gilbert and their mother Barbara of Maine; and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her special niece, Sylvia Milney who was her wonderful beautician and to her sister Annette who spent many hours visiting Germaine, we can't thank you enough! The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 8:45 am to 9:45 am at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am will follow at St. Mary's Church, Main St. / Maplewood Ave., East Hartford. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
