
Irene (Beaudet) Picard, 86, of Glastonbury, passed away on Thursday, (November 2, 2006) at the Ellis Manor in Hartford. Born in Springfield, MA, a daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes Beaudet, she had resided in Hartford for many years, prior to moving to Glastonbury 24 years ago. Prior to her retirement she was employed for over twenty years as a Nurses aide by Hartford Hospital. Irene loved living at the Naubuc Green Senior Housing in Glastonbury where she was very active and participated in many of their activities. Besides her parents, Irene was predeceased by a daughter, Lorraine Salkauskas of Glastonbury, and three sons, Richard Picard of Hartford, Stephen Picard of East Hartford, David Picard of Hartford. Irene is survived by her caring and devoted son, Dennis Picard of East Hartford; a special niece, Lee Marie Belanger of Hartford; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday (November 8th) at 11 a.m. at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery (Section W), Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Irene's name may be made to the VNA Health Care, 103 Woodland Street, Hartford, CT, 06105. The D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
