

James ""Fred"" Morris, 85, of East Hartford, loving husband for over 46 years to Madeline (Peteroski) Morris, peacefully journeyed home to be with our Lord and his family on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at his residence with his caring family by his side. Born in St. Francis, ME on May 5, 1930, a son of the late John and Adeline (Harvey) Morris, he had been a resident of East Hartford for over 60 years. Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 35 years by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford as a Machinist. A devout Catholic, Jim was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church, East Hartford. He was a talented woodworker and handyman who made many things for his home, family, and friends. He was also a fan of the UCONN Women’s basketball teams.
Along with his wife, Madeline, Fred is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Brazdzionis and her husband, Peter, of South Windsor, Donna Mascaro of East Hartford; three sons, Harold Margison of Somers, Wayne Margison and his wife, Susan, of Durham, Thomas Beaulier of Ashland, ME; seven cherished grandchildren, James Brazdzionis of South Windsor, Peter Brazdzionis of South Windsor, Gary Mascaro of East Hartford, Lindsay Mascaro of West Springfield, MA, James Mascaro of East Hartford, Jason Margison of Durham, Greg Margison of Durham; four adored great-grandchildren, Charles Christian, Jayden Christian, Mariah Mascaro, and Carter Margison; He also leaves a brother, Clare Morris of Fort Kent, ME; a sister, Suellen Collins of Tucson, AZ; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Funeral service will be Friday (June 19th) with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford. Military honors will follow the Mass outside of the church. (Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church on Friday morning). Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim’s name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758571, Topeka, KS 66676.
