Jeannette Collins (Lapoint)

Jeannette (Lapointe) Collins, 90, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Henry Collins, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday (June 20, 2012). She was born in Waterville, Maine on July 4, 1921, the daughter of the late Alfred and Eva Rose (Quirion) Lapointe. Jeannette is survived by her daughter, Fern Bouchard of East Hartford; her sister, Rose Marie Perron of East Hartford; her loving grandchildren, Tammy Carlson and her husband Brett of Bolton, Tina Bouchard of East Hartford and Tracy Lombardo and her husband Steven of Glastonbury; her adored great-grandchildren, Bryce, Alexa, Daniella and Gabriella and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her beloved son-in-law, Raymond Bouchard;

her son, Henry Collins, Jr.; her brothers, Bernard Lapointe, Alfred Lapointe Jr., and Donald Lapointe; her sister, Theresa Fillion and her brother-in-law, Raymond Perron.

Family and friends may visit the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford on Tuesday (June 26) from 4-7 p.m. There will be a funeral service at 4 p.m. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The family would like to express their thanks to the many special people who cared for Jeannette and showed such compassion to her.
