Josephine Capodicasa (Chiaradia)

Josephine (Chiaradia) Capodicasa, 88, of Glastonbury, wife of the late Sebastian Capodicasa, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2011 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Hartford on February 9, 1923, a daughter of the late Michael Chiaradia and Theresa (Castellaneta) Chiaradia. Prior to her retirement Josephine worked for Ramada Inn and was a devoted Catholic. Josephine loved her “Friday Night card games” and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Josephine is survived by her daughter; Lucille Molloy of East Hartford, and four sons; Steve Capodicasa and Monica (Mulazzi), Mark Anthony Capodicasa , Sebastian J. Capodicasa and his wife Linda all of Glastonbury, Ronald Capodicasa and his wife Nancy of Bolton. She also leaves two sisters; Angela Oliva of Glastonbury and Mary Eddy of Rocky Hill; seven grandchildren: Thomas Molloy, Kelly Molloy-Hazel, Michael, John, Anthony, Veronica Capodicasa and Casey Capodicasa, four great grandchildren and the family dog, her best friend, Rocky Capo. Josephine was predeceased by two sons; Michael and Joey Capodicasa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 8th at 11AM at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. There will be no calling hours and everyone is asked to meet
