Josephine A. McKenna

Josephine A. McKenna, widow of Raymond J. McKenna passed away on November 13, 2012. Born on Nov. 16, 1921, in East Hartford, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Annunziata) Santone, she was a life-long resident of the town. She had been employed by the A&P grocery stores for thirty eight years until retirement. She was a communicant of St Rose Church in East Hartford, an avid collector of dolls, and loved to travel. She had a big heart and her greatest joy was giving to others. She is survived by her three daughters, Dorene Ewing of Middletown, Susan McKenna of Nashua, NH, Carol and Arthur Jordan of Arlington, TX; and a son, Michael McKenna of East Haven. ""Mimi"" was a devoted and beloved grandmother and great-grandmother to Kristin and Michael Payne of Glastonbury, Jody and Erik Marshburn of Japan, Craig and Ann McKenna of CA, Catherine and Adam Greaves of Cromwell, Shawn and Jen McKenna of CA, Cheryl and Bill Bruce of East Haven, Kara and Colleen Jordan of TX; Sydney, Courtney and Hannah Marshburn; Liam and Hope Greaves, Connor Payne, Cole, Chase and Kendall McKenna, and Madison McKenna. She is also survived by a brother, Anthony Santone of Wethersfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Anne Lerzo, Rose Holcomb, and Ann Temple.

The funeral and interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
