Joshua Swey Derrick-Jones

Joshua Swey Derrick-Jones, 13 1/2 months-old angel, of Tolland, went to watch over all of us on Saturday, (January 21, 2012). Born in Manchester on December 5, 2010 he was the loving son of Brandon Phillip Jones and Crystal Lynn Derrick of Tolland. Besides his beloved parents, Joshua is survived by his maternal grandparents, Michael and Louise (Romaniec) Derrick of Tolland; paternal grandfather, Phillip Jones of East Hartford; paternal grandmother, Donna (Cummings) Jones of East Hartford; paternal great-grandfather, Ralph Jones of Tennessee; three uncles, Christopher J. Derrick of Tolland, Cameron R. Jones of East Hartford, Travis J. Jones of East Hartford. He also leaves two ""adopted aunts"", Jenna Gagne of Vernon, Heather Roaix and her fiancé, Scott Sanders, of Ellington; several other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday (January 28th) with a celebration of Life at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Community Cathedral, 1492 Silver Lane, East Hartford. Private burial will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 10-11 a.m. at the Cathedral. The D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
