

Kenneth ""K.C."" Wayne Coleman, 64, of East Hartford, husband of Germaine (Little) Coleman, went home to rest on Sunday (October 14, 2012) in East Hartford, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Union, SC, son of the late Andy and Helen (Hall) Coleman, ""K.C."" was employed as a machinist at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for more than 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. K.C. was a proud member of the I.A.M Machinist Local #1746 in East Hartford. He was an avid sports fan and was especially loyal to the New York Giants, New York Knicks and the New York Yankees. He also loved to work in his vegetable garden. Besides his wife of more than 30 years, Germaine, K.C. is survived by three sons, Kenneth ""Pumkin"" W. Coleman, Jr. of Cocoa, FL, Danny Coleman of Cocoa, FL and Larry Coleman of Los Angeles, CA; two step sons, Robert ""Petri"" Little of East Hartford and John Michaud of Vernon; four brothers, Andy Coleman of Union, SC, formerly of Hartford, James Coleman of Boston, MA, Robert Coleman and his wife Evelyn of Sicklerville, NJ and Michael Coleman of Albany, NY; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. K.C. also leaves three brothers-in-law, Tony Little of New London and Lamonte Little of East Hartford and Alfonso Little of Bristol as well as four sisters-in-law, Tanya Wilson and her husband, Robert of Hartford, Mattlyn Rodriguez of Hartford, Janice Little of Hartford and Doreen Henry and her husband Bob of Los Angeles, CA. KC's family would like to give special thanks to his caring niece Tina Coleman of Hartford.
Funeral services will be Friday (October 19) beginning at 1 p.m. at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford, CT. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the service on Friday. Burial with full military honors will be at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
