Louise B. “Weezie” Ryan-Perrine, 85, of East Hartford, loving wife of Harry Clay Perrine, passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on Thursday, March 13, 2025. She was born August 1, 1939 and raised in Wethersfield, CT. Louise was one of three children to the late Richard and Janet (Larned) Barger. She attended Wethersfield schools, except for her last three years of High School in Rutherford NJ, graduating in 1957. Louise continued her education, earning an Associate’s Degree from Averett University, in Virginia, and Bachelor’s Degree and Master's Degree from UCONN. After graduating, she was in charge of all of the school lunch programs in Connecticut for six years. Afterwards she was an office manager for several companies, the last being a publishing company. While raising her children in Coventry, she enjoyed swimming and organized and ran a Red Cross swimming program in Coventry for nine years having 12 lifeguards under her, which she personally certified. It was so successful - the surrounding towns all wanted to be included and along the way, Louise made many lifelong friends. Louise and Harry were members of Connecticut Forest and Park Association, a land conservation organization with 825+ miles of hiking trails. Louise was a life member of the Trails Committee and was the chairman of it for three years. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and sailing which she did for many years and warmly shared these passions with her family. In fact, Louise’s greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family especially her children and grandchildren. Along with Harry, Louise will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her loving family, her children, Michael John Ryan with his wife Rose, daughter Laurie R. Antous, with her husband Joseph, siblings, Richard L. Barger, with wife Zenta, Virginia B. Vasil, with her husband Donald, as well as four adored grandchildren, Brittney and Brooke Antous, and William and Samantha Ryan.
