

Marcel Yvon Dulude, 71, of East Hartford, loving husband of 46 years to Alma (LaMonda) Dulude, entered into eternal rest at his home with his caring family by his side on Wednesday (June 4, 2008), after a long and courageous battle with many illnesses. Born on July 6, 1936 in Berkshire, VT, a son of the late Joseph and Yvonne (Jalbert) Dulude, he had been a resident of East Hartford for the past 43 years. Marcel was a proud Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard for many years. Marcel was an auto-body repairman for over 40 years in the Greater Hartford area. Marcel used to be an avid outdoorsman, especially fishing and hunting. Marcel would also enjoy woodworking, antique cars, and mastering various video games. Besides his parents, Marcel was predeceased by two brothers, Andrew Dulude and Jerry Dulude both of Vermont, and four sisters, Jeannine Johnston and Theresa Raymond both of New Hampshire, Cecile LaRose and Marie Emma Dulude both of Vermont. Along with his devoted wife Alma, Marcel is survived by two sons, Patrick J. Dulude and his wife, Linda, of Tolland, Thomas M. Dulude of East Hartford with whom he made his home; a daughter, Lisa A. Durrenberger and her husband, Daniel, of East Hartford; two brothers, Joseph Dulude and his wife, Kathryn, of Enosburg Falls, VT, and Clement Dulude and his wife, Annette, of East Hartford; one adored grandson, Nicholas Daniel Dulude of Tolland; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved best friend, his dog Shyla. Funeral service will be Saturday June 7 at 10 a.m. from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Burial with military honors will follow at Veteran's Memorial Field-Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
