

Mary Catherine (Trillo) Necci, 72, of South Glastonbury, beloved wife of 54 years of Raymond P. Necci, Sr., peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family at her home on Thursday, December 18, 2025 after a long courageous journey with cancer. Proudly born in Brooklyn, NY on August 14, 1953, a daughter of the late Erminio and Helen (Ward) Trillo, she had been a resident of East Hartford for 30 years prior to moving to Glastonbury in 2001. Mary was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Brooklyn, NY, class of 1971. A loyal hard-working woman, she was employed for many years by Sodexho Food Services in East Hartford, retiring as an office manager.
Mary enjoyed giving back to her community and volunteered for several organizations. This included Easter Seals, helping with their annual Crystal Ball, and East Hartford High School’s Project Graduation.
Family meant the entire world to Mary. She always looked forward to having everyone over for Sunday dinners at her home and loved going away on vacations together. She was a driving force while raising her children and adored every moment around her grandchildren. Wherever Mary resided, she formed long-lasting friendships. She enjoyed spending her summers the past 35 years at Blue Sky Estates on Schroon Lake, New York. More recently, spending the winter months in Englewood, FL with friends for over a decade. Most of all, Mary was a proud devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who cherished every moment spent with family.
Along with her beloved husband Ray, Mary is survived by her daughter, Jennifer M. Dineen and her husband Jim of Tolland; her two sons, Raymond P. Necci, Jr. and his wife Linda of Tolland, Matthew S. Necci and his wife Jennifer of Glastonbury; eight adored grandchildren, Jack Dineen and his wife Sarah, Thomas Dineen, Emma Dineen, Brayden Necci, Kaylin Necci, Nolan Necci, Abigail Necci, and Riley Necci. She also leaves three brothers, Ernest Trillo and his wife Fran of Hampton Bays, NY, Michael Trillo of Wake Forest, NC, Thomas Trillo and his wife Jennifer of Fairfield; a sister, Ellen Shortt and her husband James of South Windsor; a brother-in-law, James Necci and his wife Fran of Old Bridge, NJ; a sister-in-law, Paula Iacone of Sewell, NJ; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. They will miss the smile that lit up every room she entered.
Funeral service will be Tuesday (December 23, 2025) at 8:45 am from the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am at SS. Isidore and Maria Parish at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, (Section 2), Hebron Avenue/Wickham Drive, Glastonbury. Mary’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday (December 22, 2025) from 4 – 7 pm at the funeral home chapel.
