

Moira ""Mary"" (Divane) Traynor, 77, of East Hartford, loving wife of 55 years of John B. Traynor, peacefully entered into eternal life on Sunday, (July 8, 2012). Born in Annascaul, County of Kerry, Ireland on September 12, 1934, a daughter of the late John and Nell (Herlihy) Divane, she had been a resident of East Hartford for over 50 years. Prior to her retirement she was employed for 25 years by the former Connecticut Bank & Trust Company, East Hartford as a Customer Service Representative. A devout Catholic, Moira was a faithful and active communicant of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford where she volunteered cleaning the church and was a member of the Retiree's Club. She was also a member of the St. Mary's Mother's Circle in East Hartford. Moira enjoyed giving back to the community as she volunteered for Meals on Wheels and delivered bread to shelters in Manchester. She loved traveling, cleaning, ironing, and being a proud wife, mother, and grandmother. Besides her beloved husband John, Moira is survived by two sons, William J. Traynor and his wife, Valerie, of Glastonbury, John K. Traynor and his wife, Jennifer, of Ellington, a daughter, Nancy M. DuVerger and her husband, Felix, of Glastonbury; nine adored grandchildren, Melissa, Michelle, and Max Traynor all of Glastonbury, Robert John ""RJ"" and Hannah Traynor both of Ellington, Christopher, Patrick, Alexander, and Ryan DuVerger all of Glastonbury. She also leaves a brother, Patrick Divane and his wife, Theresa, of Wethersfield; two sisters-in-law, Mary Traynor of Enfield and Ann Traynor of East Hartford; a long-time friend, Elaine Kirko formerly of East Hartford; several nieces, nephews, and other dear friends. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, James Divane and Timothy Divane both of Ireland; and a sister, Hannah Hannifan of Ireland.
Funeral services will be Thursday (July 12) at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday (July 11th) from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Moira's name may be made to St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford, CT 0
