Nancy Tierinni

Nancy L. (Coté) Tierinni of East Hartford passed away in the early morning hours of March 29, 2023, after a short illness. She was 73 years old. Born April 27, 1949, she was the second child of the late Alfred J. Coté and the late Betsy I. (McQueeney) Coté of Berlin. Nancy attended local schools in Berlin and was a 1967 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in New Britain. She was a retired paraprofessional from the East Hartford Public Schools after more than 40 years of service. She was a resident of East Hartford for most of her adult life. Nancy enjoyed crocheting afghans and clothing accessories for her family and dear friends. She was an avid fan of the UConn Women’s basketball team, and liked solving puzzles, gardening, cooking, and baking.

She is survived by her sons, David A. Tierinni of East Hartford and Jeffery A. Tierinni (Stacie) of Southington, two grandsons, two granddaughters, a great-grandson and a great-granddaughter, her two brothers and sisters in laws – Christopher & Patricia Coté of Berlin, Robin and Paula Coté of Wethersfield; five nephews, one niece, and her godmother Lorraine Rakowski of Berlin and many cousins from both the Coté and McQueeney families. Nancy was predeceased by her youngest son, Dominic A. Tierinni, her sister Bonnie Coté Masselle, and her brother Brian E. Coté.

Nancy’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 3 – 6 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. A memorial service celebrating Nancy’s life will be at 6 pm. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
