

Nenita (Casaol) Alton, 58, of East Hartford, loving wife and pal for over 36 years of Jeffrey R. Alton, Sr., peacefully entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 with her caring family by her side at St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Balogo, Oas, Albay, Philippines on October 7, 1955, a daughter of the late Herman and Salvacion (Antiquiera) Casaol, Sr. she had been a resident of East Hartford for the past 36 years. Nenita was employed for many years by Concentra Urgent Care in East Hartford and Rocky Hill Medical Center, Rocky Hill as a Medical Assistant. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford. Nenita was a former member of the Philippine American association of Greater Hartford. She also enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the UCONN athletic teams. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Delia Cascia of Enfield. Along with her beloved husband/pal, Jeffrey, Nenita is survived by her three devoted children, Michelle Quiles and her husband, Francisco, of East Hartford, Jeffrey “Sonny” R. Alton, Jr. of Oak Park, IL, Christina L. Alton of East Hartford; five adored grandchildren, Malena, Angelina, Xavier, Jadaliz, and Isaac Quiles all of East Hartford. She also leaves four brothers, Elmer Casaol and his wife, Yolanda, of East Hartford, Fillmore Casaol and his wife, Marilou, of Broad Brook, Herman Casaol, Jr. and his wife, Lea, of East Hartford, Danilo Estrada and his wife, Sonia, of Las Vegas, NV; five sisters, Leilany Palaya and her husband, Job, of Middletown, RI, Ruby Abalos and her husband, Rudy, of East Hartford, Lenore Racine and her husband, Robert, of East Hartford, Marites Cantillo and her husband, Silvestre, of East Hartford, Evangeline Olayon and her husband, Ed, of Amston; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert T. and Joan (LaCroix) Alton of Glastonbury; two brothers-in-law, Charles Alton and Thomas Alton both of Glastonbury; two sisters-in-law, Pamela Van Soest of East Hartford, Judy Alton Simpson of Glastonbury; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Funeral services will be Monday (January 27th) with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford. (The family asks that everyone go directly to the church on Monday morning). Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford on Sunday (January 26th) from 2-6 pm.
