Olga Virginia (Colaneri) Pagano, 89, of East Hartford, peacefully passed away on September 13, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Leone Remo Pagano, her husband of 67 years. Her family was complete after three additional children were born—Billy, Tina, and Lia. While raising her five children, she also supported her husband in the family restaurant business. Olga’s true passion was her family and she was a doting wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She helped to lovingly raise all nine grandchildren. Olga impressed upon her children and grandchildren the values of tradition, civility, and strong family bonds. Her spirited, outgoing, playful personality will be missed by all, especially her adoring grandchildren. Olga is survived by her children: Maria Pia Pagano of West Hartford; Billy Pagano and his spouse, Christine, of Manchester; Tina Pagano of East Hartford; and Lia Kowal and her spouse, Paul, of Bolton. Olga was predeceased by her daughter, Gina Pagano-Therrien, and infant granddaughter, Julie Pagano-Therrien. Olga also leaves nine cherished grandchildren: Jesica and her spouse, Chris; Melani and her spouse, Ryan; Stefanie and her spouse, Isaac; Christopher and his spouse, Elizabeth; Jacqueline and her spouse, Dan; Liana; Kara and her fiancé, Brian; Julia and Marissa; and her four great-grandsons: Ely, Leo, Kye, and Sammy. She also leaves a sister, Gina DiNinni, a dear cousin, Maria DiNinni, and a son-in-law, Thomas Therrien of East Hartford, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Olga will be remembered as a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The Pagano family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her caretaker, Silvia Galain for her loving care and devotion.
