
Patrick M. Crovo, 56, of East Hartford, loving husband of 23 years to Jodi L. (Davis) Crovo, entered into eternal rest on Saturday (November 5, 2011) with loved ones by his side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Hartford on July 28, 1955, a son of Lois (DiNocenza) Crovo and the late John Crovo, he had resided in Newington for several years prior to moving to East Hartford 23 years ago. Patrick was a graduate of Newington High School and worked at Stop & Shop Supermarket in Glastonbury prior to his illness. Patrick had the ""gift of gab"" and enjoyed talking to everyone. He was active with the O'Connell Elementary School PTA in East Hartford and was a coach with the East Hartford Little League. He was also a long-time loyal and faithful fan of the Boston Red Sox. Besides his father, John, he was predeceased by his step-mother, Anita Crovo, both of Vernon, and his father-in-law, Jack W. Davis of East Hartford. Along with his beloved wife, Jodi, Patrick is survived by his two adored sons, Sean Patrick Crovo and Daniel Jack Crovo both at home in East Hartford; his mother, Lois Crovo of Newington; his twin brother, Thomas Crovo of Newington; a step-brother, John Larner of Vernon; and three step-sisters, Barbara Dagenais and her husband, Joe, of Little River, SC, Patricia Bayer and her husband, Harold, of East Windsor, Debbie Warrek and her husband, Harry, of Coventry. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Helen (Kennedy) Davis of East Hartford; a sister-in-law, Randi Gagne and her fiancé, Jorge Nunez, of Manchester; five brothers-in-law and their spouses, Christopher and Joan Davis of Ringoes, NJ, Keith and Brenda Davis of East Hartford, Greg Davis of East Hampton, Scott and Lisa Davis of East Hartford, Doug and Betty Davis of Glastonbury; a goddaughter, Lauren Keilich of South Windsor; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday (November 12th) with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford. (Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church on Saturday morning). Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Patrick's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday evening (November 11th) from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford.
