Robert “Bob” L. Spear, III, 74, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at his home. Born February 28, 1952, he was the son of the late Robert L. Spear, Jr. and Helen (Canfield) Spear.
He leaves behind his loving family, including his lifelong partner, Ruth Spear; his daughters, Sarah Dagon and her husband Joseph of East Hartford, and Amanda Briggs of Enfield; his six cherished grandchildren; and his two sisters.
A lifelong East Hartford resident, Bob graduated from George J. Penney High School, Class of 1971. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 671 and worked for many years as a truck driver. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and had a passion for riding his motorcycle. He was also a devoted fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees.
