Vito Cotoia

Vito Cotoia, 69, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hartford Hospital on June 20, 2018. He was born April 17, 1949 in Panni, Foggia Italy to the late Angiolina and Saverio Cotoia. Vito was a graduate of Bulkeley High School class of 1968 and worked for the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) for 37 years where he retired. He served selflessly in Vietnam and always remained dedicated and extremely proud of his service as a United States Marine (1968-1974).Vito is survived by his three children; his son Matthew Cotoia of East Hartford and his wife Deena Cotoia; his son Adrian Cotoia of Murrieta, California; and his daughter Angiolina Russo of Vernon and her husband Richard Russo along with his grandchildren Cannon and Vivian. He leaves behind two brothers Michael Cotoia of Henderson, Nevada and his wife Donna; and Anthony Cotoia of Niantic and his wife Rose. Vito also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins who remained close in his heart.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at D’Esopo Funeral Home, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford, CT.
