Yvonne V. (Chase) Avalos, 53, of East Hartford, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family after a courageous battle of illnesses. She was born on June 2, 1972, in Hartford, CT and was the daughter of the late Allen Lewis and Virginia Mary (Fitzgerald) Chase. She graduated from Parish Hill High School, class of 1990.
Yvonne made her home in Texas and Connecticut. She was always the first to lend a helping hand, caring deeply for the less fortunate and doing what she could to make a difference in others’ lives. She worked as a propane truck driver for Daniel’s Energy in the years before her illness, taking great pride in her career. She had a deep love for horses and found peace and joy in fishing. Above all, Yvonne treasured time with her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her kindness, strength, and love will be remembered by all who knew her.
Yvonne is survived by her three children: Amber Arroyo and her husband, Marco, with whom she made her home; Ashley Ron; and Aharon Ron; her three grandchildren: Aiden Sloane, Charlotte Krystofolski, and Emery Lewetag; her three brothers: Edward Chase and his wife, Jennifer Santos Dias; Todd Caruso; and Christopher Chase; her nephew, Alexander Chase; and her Aunt Kathleen Bradley.
A service to honor Yvonne will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 6 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford.
