

Amada Magdaleno Chisari, 92 passed away on March 1, 2014. She was surrounded by family, friends, and her care givers from Loving Hands. Amada, also fondly known as Amy, was born and raised in Mexico City D.F. She studied and worked in Washington, DC where she met her husband, the late Thomas G. Chisari. They were married in Mexico City, and later raised four children in El Paso, TX. Amada was employed by EPISD until her retirement. She remained active in the community, participated in local service clubs, and volunteered at Sierra Medical Center and Loretto Nursing Home. Amy had an adventurous spirit and loved music. She also enjoyed swimming, oil painting, traveling, and ceramics. She is survived by her children Carol Smith, Evelyn Chisari, Maggie Chisari (Rosa Torres), and Michael T. Chisari. Her grandchildren include Bill Smith, Amy Smith, Jennifer Thompson, Carol Smith Carerra, Michael, Chad, and Tisha Bourquin, Erin Torres, Steven P. Torres, Michael Chisari and Nick Chisari. Her great grandchildren are Austin Smith, Sean Smith Luna, Eddie, Jose, and Luis Carerra. Viewing will be from 5-9 at Martin Funeral Home, 3839 Montana. Rosery will be held at 7pm. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 10 at St.Pius Catholic Church, 1007 Geronimo at 1:45pm with burial following at Fort Bliss National Cemetary. Pall Bearers: Michael T. Chisari, Chad T. Bourquin, Steven P. Torres, Bob Bourquin, Eddie Carerra, and Austin Smith.
