Anita C. Fernandez passed away peacefully on Friday September 25, 2015. She was born in El Paso Tx. on July 26, 1923 to Manuel and Carolina Chavira in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. She was raised along with 8 siblings, and has two surviving sisters Carolina Baines and Olga Guerra. She is also survived by her husband of 70 years Jose R. Fernandez. Together they raised 5 sons Joe R. Fernandez (Olga), Armando Fernandez, David Fernandez (Yolie), Alfred Fernandez (Rocio), and Arthur Fernandez ( Michele). A proud and loving grandmother to 12 and great grandmother to16. She will be greatly missed. On behalf of the family, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Anita's personal caregivers Francisca and Guadalupe. Visitation: 6-9 pm Thursday, October 1st with Rosary at 7pm at Martin Funeral Home Central. Funeral Mass: 10 am Friday, October 2nd at Santo Nino de Atocha Catholic Church. Intermittent: Evergreen East.
