Carlos R. Araujo, age 89, was born March 17, 1936 and passed away April 15,2025. Carlos was born in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua and made his way to El Paso, Tx in 1956 upon marrying his loving wife Graciela Aia Aguilar. Carlos worked as a machine mechanic for many years at Hortex Inc. "Billy the Kid" clothing manufacturing company until the company shut down it operations. Carlos then changed gears and worked for El Paso Disposal as a truck driver, and last before he retired in the early 2000's worked for Bateman Senior Meals an organization dedicated to delivering meals to seniors.
Carlos was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Graciela, and his son Robert. He is survived by his children Patricia, Barbra, and Carlos. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Adrian Humberto Herrera, Eric Christopher Herrera, Alisa Miranda Rodriguez, Stephen Timothy Rodriguez, and Lillian Grace Araujo; as well as two great grandchildren Marcus Dominic Herrera and Dauntae Maurice Herrera; and his siblings Jose Angel Araujo and Alicia Araujo Nava.
A visitation for Carlos will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903. Interment will be Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
