Our mother, Carmen R. Briones, was called home by our lord on August 26, 2018 at the age of 93. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Aureliano, daughter Estela, granddaughter Michelle, grandson Manny, and great grandson Sylvester, Jr. She is Survived by her children Yolanda, Juan (Margie), Aureliano Jr. (Irma), Carmen, Rosie, Rick (Lola), Letty (Sylvester) and 13 grandchildren, 71 great & great-grandchildren. Our mother was born in Chihuahua, MX and immigrated with her husband to El Paso in 1957 to start a new life and raise her 8 children. The Briones family is eternally grateful to our mother's caregiver Maria Elena Gallardo and to Mariposa hospice for all their dedication and attention.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 31st from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Avenue with Vigil at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 1st at 12:00 p.m at Santo Nino de Atocha Catholic Church at 210 S. Clark. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mariposa Hospice.
