Carmen Powers Mejia, 87, went to be with Our Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. She was a longtime resident of El Paso and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Juan Mejia Sr., sons, Edward P. Mejia and Eliseo D. Mejia, one brother and two sisters. Carmen’s legacy are her children, whom she adored: sons, Juan Mejia, Jr. and David Andrew Mejia and daughters, Bertha Mejia, Estela Theresa Mejia, Leticia Mejia Morales and Patricia Mejia Martell , sons-in-law, David Morales, Octavio L. Martell, daughter-in-law, Elida Mejia and 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with Vigil/Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. at FDA Martin Funeral Home Central. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
