Elia was born April 15th, 1954 in Juarez, Mexico, the daughter of Tony and Juanita De La Cruz. She graduated from Gadsden High School, where she met David Luis Valles, her high school sweetheart, the two later married and settled in El Paso, Texas. They celebrated 47 years of marriage in January of 2021. Elia was a secretary for the William Beaumont Army Medical Center for most of career and had great network of coworkers who became her lifelong friends. She loved visiting and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoyed yoga and reading.
Elia was preceded in death by her mother Juana, father Tony and her brother Tony De La Cruz. She leaves behind her only son David (Dawn), 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue in El Paso, Texas 79903. Burial will follow the Memorial Service at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
