Godmother to Helen Huie, Cynthia Cortes, Melissa Mier, Christina Durazo, Arthur Albert
Aleman, and Rudy Sanchez (deceased). She was preceded in death by parents Manuel
and Beatriz Meraz, brothers Ramon and Manuel Meraz Jr., and sister Beatriz Sanchez.
A loving Aunt to several nieces and nephews and shared a close and special bond with
nephew Jeremy Mier.
She began her career working at the White House in Downtown El Paso and later on
continued her career at the Popular Downtown and Sunland Mall location until her
retirement.
Queta enjoyed traveling with family and friends, sharing her adventures by taking trips
with her nieces and nephews; loved getting together for coffee, especially with her
Sisters and Brother-in-Laws and enjoyed socializing with her dear friends. She also
enjoyed oil painting, home interior decorating, and was talented in arts and crafts.
Queta was beloved by all and known as a caring and gentle soul.
Pallbearers include, Ruben Rodriguez, Sam Rodriguez, Patrick Rodriguez, Phillip Pina,
Rudy Carrillo and Eddie Carrillo. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy and Ruben Mier.
