Esperanza (Hope) Delgado Muller

Esperanza "Hope" Delgado Muller passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Valedon, New Mexico in 1931. She graduated from Lordsburg High School in 1950 and then moved to El Paso, Texas to study cosmetology at Tri- State School of Beauty Culture. She graduated in 1951 and began a professional career in cosmetology. She met her husband, James, while he was serving in the U.S. Army while stationed at Fort Bliss in 1957. They married in 1959 and relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They returned to El Paso, Texas in the late 1960's.

Esperanza and her sister, Esther Mendoza, then became the business owners of "Vanity Beauty Salon". In the early 1980's, they expanded their business with another sister, Irene Delgado, and established "The Ultimate Look Hair Design." After a successful lifetime career, she retired in the mid 1990's to devote her time to her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Telesforo and Carmen Chaires Delgado, and her sister, Carmen Frausto. She is survived by her husband, James E. Muller, Sr.; her children: James Muller, Jr., wife, Roseanne, Elizabeth Muller, Christina Dorado, and husband Sean; grandchildren: Ashley, Haylee, Alexis and Natalie Dorado and Joseph Flores. She is also survived by her siblings, Sixto Lujan, Esther Mendoza, Virginia Cottman, Irene Delgado, Hector Delgado, and Mary Louise Guzman; as well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Martin Funeral Home, 3839 Montana, with a Rosary at 6 pm. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 1:15 pm at St. Joseph's Church, 1315 Travis St. Interment will immediately follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Pallbearers are James Muller, Jr., Joseph Flores, Sean Dorado, Hector Delgado, Patrick Cottman, Tony Gergas, Lawrence Orbeck and Rick Lujan.
