Esteban R. Sanchez

Esteban “Steve” Sanchez entered into the glory of heaven on Wednesday February 15, 2012 at the age of 91. He was a self-taught musician who shared and inspired his love of music with his family and the entire community. Steve also worked as a cook for the Leo’s Restaurants for many years. Preceded in death by his wife Margarita and survived by his children Guillermo (Betty), Maria Magdalena Rodriguez (Abelardo-deceased), Steve Jr. (Teresita), Fernando, Mary Lou Romero (Santiago), and John (Jef Vowell). He was blessed with 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 4pm to 9pm with a rosary service at 7pm at Martin Funeral Home Central. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, February 20, 2012 at 9am at All Saints Catholic Church, 1415 Dakota St, followed by interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandsons Miguel and Marco Romero, Steve Sanchez III, Zeke and Christopher Sanchez, Guillermo Sanchez Jr., Abelardo Rodriguez Jr. and great grandson Andres Romero.
