Felipa Reyes de Alvarez, 91 years old, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 20, 1934, in Aguascalientes, Mexico, to Pedro Alvarez and Mauricia Martinez de Alvarez. She was married to Leobardo Reyes+ in September of 1951. She was a seamstress, who enjoyed sewing for her family and friends. There was no article of clothing, such as formal, costume or a special design she wouldn’t try her hand at and succeed beautifully. She was a faithful and loyal member to the St. Patrick Cathedral, where she took great pleasure in participating in community events and was a dedicated member of the Guadalupanas ministry. Her tradition at Christmas time, was to have family and close friends gather at her house for prayer, posada and delicious Mexican food, such as tamales and champurrado. She enjoyed singing and had a beautiful voice. She was a loving, caring and compassionate Mother. Our hearts ache for the loss of our wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Aunt may she rest in peace in the arms of our Lord and Saviour.
