Florentina “Flora” Enriquez passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday October 5th, 2021 surrounded by her family. Flora was a mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She was a very wise, intelligent, loving woman with a great sense of humor. She worked at Sierra Medical Hospital until she retired. Flora enjoyed going out to eat, visiting downtown El Paso and reminiscing about her upbringing in the Segundo Barrio. She loved sharing stories about how she grew up and stories about everyday life surrounding her.
Flora loved her children, grandchildren, her great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and was forever remembering them. Our memory of her will be one of a happy, joyful, and loving woman who lived life to the fullest always surrounded by her loved ones. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
Flora is survived by her children Ismael Enriquez and wife Emma Acosta, Glenda Duran, Francisco “Cisco” Rojas, and Bertha Rojas Diaz and husband Ricardo Diaz; grandchildren Michael Diaz, Diane Duran Barnes, Anthony Duran, Delilah Rojas Licon, Sandra Enriquez Falcon, Omar Mendoza and Nancy Enriquez Velasco; great-grandchildren Jacob Lopez, Michelle Falcon, Michael R. Falcon, Patrick Falcon, Katrina Falcon, Joshua Velasco, Andrew Velasco, Ashley Mendoza, Omar Mendoza Jr., Destiny Duran, Kiani Barnes, Rickie Barnes, Alex Duran, Alana Duran, Jordan Licon and Dylan Licon; and great-great-grandchildren Julio “Jay” Almaguer, Eva Reyes, Mia Almaguer, Emilia Falcon, and Elenna Reyes. She also leaves extended family and friends to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by husband Francisco “Kiko” Rojas & granddaughter Monica Duran.
Visitation for Florentina will be from 5:00-8:00pm Friday, October 15, at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903, with Vigil at 6:00pm. Funeral Mass will be 10:00am Saturday, October 16, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama.
