

Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend Ignacia (Nacha) B. Ramirez, 90, passed away on February 26, 2015. Ignacia was a lifelong resident of El Paso, raised in Smeltertown and Buena Vista. After facing her long illness with great strength and grace she left this Earth to be with God. Ignacia left us all with her legacy of honesty, courage, compassion, and love. Those who knew her would never forget her warm hugs, strong faith, and hospitality. Ignacia was preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Villalva and her grandson, Albert "Sonny" Salazar Jr. She is survived by her sister Mary B. Flores; her daughters, Maria Alicia Salazar (Frank) and Tina Hinojos (Mundo); her sons, Jose J. Ramirez Jr (Gloria), Robert B. Ramirez, and David Ramirez. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., following with a Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at Del Angel Martin Funeral Home located at 3839 Montana. On Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. there will be a mass held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church located at 408 Park Street. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery located at 401 S. Zaragoza Rd. The pallbearers will be C.R. Villalva, Martin Jesse Villalva, Joseph Hinojos, Mundo Hinojos, Ralph Carbajal, Frank Rivas, Robert B. Ramirez, and David Ramirez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jose J.Ramirez Jr. and Eugene E. Ramirez. Our family would like to send our deepest gratitude to Dr. Michael H. Annabi MD and his staff. Also to the Hospice of El Paso and their staff for their care and help during her long illness. Finally we thank all of the family members and friends that comforted and cared for our mother not only in her difficult time of need but throughout her wonderful life. Services will be under the direction of Del Angel Martin Funeral Home.
