In the vibrant tapestry of El Paso, where the desert sun kisses the horizon, Jaime Navarro has taken his final curtain call on February 17, 2024. Born at the advent of spring on March 20, 1982, Jaime's life was a symphony of spirited verses that danced to the rhythm of 41 colorful years.
Once a valiant combat medic soldier in the ARMY, Jaime served his country with a bravery that was only matched by his knack for peaceful conquests in the world of video games. After trading his military boots for headsets, he spent a decade as the voice of reason and safety, a police services dispatcher for S.I.S.D., where his guidance was like a GPS for the soul.
A man whose faith was as robust as his love for a good movie marathon, Jaime shared his spirit in a Christian communion, singing hallelujahs with the same gusto with which he rooted for his favorite superheroes on screen. His educational escapades at Socorro High were but the opening chapters of his own adventure saga.
Jaime, the family man, was the director of his own domestic bliss, casting his wife Priscilla Garcia and children Ashton and Chloe in the starring roles, with supporting parts by his father Jimmy, mother Susana, and brothers Chris and Adrian. The Navarro household was one where the popcorn was plentiful, the pages of books turned with anticipation, and the laughter was the soundtrack of their lives.
Let's bid farewell to Jaime not with heavy hearts but with a smile that mirrors his own—a man who could turn a phrase, flip a pancake, and flip the script on what it means to live a life well-loved. He has logged off for the last time, but his high score as a family man, veteran, and dispatcher extraordinaire remains unbeaten.
Jaime is survived by his wife, Priscilla Garcia; his son AJ; and his daughter Chloe; his father Jimmy Navarro and his mother Susana Ramirez; his brother Chris Navarro and his brother Adrian Navarro.
A celebration of life for Jaime will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East Funeral Home & Cemetery, 12400 East Montana, El Paso, Texas 79938. Following the celebration of life will be a vigil/rosary at 7:00 PM.
