Jesse was proud of his hometown in Sierra Blanca. He was also a proud Austin Panther graduate class of 1963, proud US Army veteran, avid New York Yankee and John Wayne fan. Prior to his illness, Jesse worked as a warehouse manager. He enjoyed all sports, particularly playing softball and spending time with friends. Those friendships carried on throughout his life. Jesse enjoyed every holiday and birthday, always enjoying any celebration. Jesse was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandpa, great Grandpa, uncle and friend.
Jesse was preceded in death by his father Jesus R Gonzalez, mother Hermelinda Candelaria, sister, Linda brother, Carlos Gonzalez and his beloved daughter, Arleen Tenorio.
Jesse is survived by his loving wife of more than 60 years, Margarita Gonzalez, his daughters; Darleen Hernandez (Gerardo), Catherine Quiroga (Leonardo), Patricia Jaramillo(Sergio); 12 grandkids and 9 great grandkids. The family would like to thank the many caretakers that cared for him, Vianey, Monica, Diana and the wonderful team at Hospice of El Paso. His family is especially grateful to his loving caregiver Haydee Zavala.
Funeral services as follows:
Visitation for Jesus will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Vigil service at 6:30 PM, at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral mass will be on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Santo Nino De Atocha Catholic Church, 210 S Clark Drive, El Paso, Texas 79905, followed immediately by a committal service at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave., El Paso, Texas 79906.
