Monday December 10, 2018 Jo Ann Fleming was called to heaven by our Lord. Jody, as family and friends knew her, was born on December 17, 1927 in Forney, Texas. Jody rode Tony the horse to Brown Elementary School in Warsaw TX, and Boliver was her dog, Jody graduated from Kaufman High School, Kaufman, TX. Continuing on to Baptist Nursing School in Dallas. Jody was a Cadet in the United States Nurse Corps, in Baltimore, Maryland, where she and Charles married in 1949. Jody’s name is included in the United States Nurse Corps Monument in Baltimore. Jody and Charles moved to El Paso, Texas in 1950 where she continued her nursing career at St. Joseph Hospital, then Southwestern Hospital, continuing her work as a nurse for many years, she retired from Thomason Hospital. Jody is preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Fleming Jr, her parents William (Rob) and Mary (Tullah) Evans, her siblings William Evans, and Jerra Gross, as well as her grandson Thomas Scott Fleming. Jody is survived by her three sons and spouses Charles H. Fleming III wife Terri, Thomas R. Fleming wife Ellen, Mark R. Fleming wife Tricia, along with her grandchildren and spouses Charles H. Fleming IV wife Wendy, Tiffany Gillaspy husband Micah, Samantha Henry husband Jonathan, Jonathan Ryan Fleming, and Tori Fleming. Her greatgrandchildren Ariella, Azariah, Chad, Logan, Brooklyn, Howard, and Eleanor. As well as great-great grandchild Sapphire. Visitation will be held 4:00pm to 6:00 pm Friday, December 14, 2018 at Martin Funeral Home Central 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral Service will be held 10:00am on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Faith United Methodist Church 3500 Pershing. Interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery 4848 Alps. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of El Paso or Faith United Methodist Church.
