She was born in El Paso on February 24, 1949; daughter of Rudy and Katy Widas. JoAnne graduated from UTEP and received a BA degree in Education and worked at San Elizario High School for 31 Years. She was also an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church for many years.
She is survived by two daughters: Pamela Crozier, Debra Foster; granchilden: Shane Vejil, Dakota and Colton Crozier; brother and sisters: Pat Widas, Cathy W. Allen, Joan W. Anderson, John P. Widas.
JoAnne is preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Katy Widas, and her sister Gina Widas.
Visitation for JoAnne will be from 8:30 - 9:00 AM on Monday, January 27, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Ave., El Paso, 79903.
Rosary will be recited at 9:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The committal service will be held 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 E. Montana Ave., El Paso, 79938.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made directly to St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish in memory of JoAnne Widas.
